Carly Rae Jepsen born 21st November 1985 Mission British Columbia Canada. She started playing music at a young age and, by the time she entered high school, she was already performing in local talent shows. After graduating of high school she enrolled in the Canadian College of Performing Arts located in Victoria, British Columbia. 2007 was the year she placed as a Top 3 finalist in an audition for Canadian Idol Season 5. Tug of War, her debut album, debuted following the finals of the show in 2008. Album peaked at 6th on Canadian Albums chart. The album that followed Kiss came out in the year 2012. This produced Call Me Maybe, a hit song. The track was an enormous success it reached high on the charts in 18 countries and securing 15 million copies. Since then she recorded three albums and has received numerous awards including two Grammy nominations. Carly Rae Jepsen made a significant amount of money through her work as a musician.
