Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford, is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics allowed them to be noticed in the rock world. It was not possible for The Runaways to become an instant hit in the United States, however, they enjoyed a great deal of attention in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career proved successful following the group break-up. After taking voice lessons, Ford released her first single album "Out for Blood" followed by "Dancin in the Edge". Ford vanished for some years from the music scene after the two albums didn't get much attention. The hit album "Lita" was launched by Ford in 1988. Both the song "Kiss Me Deadly" as well as the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" were huge hits. Unfortunately her success was short-lived and she was absent in the world of music for many years. The album's release Black in 1995 followed by a fifteen year wait for 'Wicked wonderland. In 2016, she released her latest album of studio work "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend award.
